Portraits By Timothy Greenfield-Sanders, The Latino List

These images are excerpted from The Latino List, an exhibition running at the Brooklyn Museum in New York through December 11. Seeking to explore what it means to be Latino in the U.S. today, photographer Timothy Greenfield-Sanders created portraits of 25 diverse and prominent Latinos in various fields. Fifteen of Greenfield-Sanders’ subjects were interviewed for an accompanying documentary that will air on HBO Latino on September 28 and on HBO on September 29. The film will be screened at the museum during Hispanic Heritage Month. Greenfield-Sanders was behind the much hailed 2008 Black List Project, which included a TV special and a book.

Washington, D.C.-based consultants Ingrid Duran and Catherine Pino (see The Latina Behind The Latino List) of D&P Creative Strategies partnered with Greenfield-Sanders to compile The Latino List and Pino served as an Executive Producer for the documentary. The film features interviews conducted by two Emmy-award winning journalists, Maria Hinojosa and Sandra Guzman, also a Mamiverse contributor.
